(dhaka, 8 July) — The telecommunications minister has said state-owned Telephone Shilpa Sangstha (TSS) will start marketing four models of laptop later this month.
Rajiuddin Ahmed Raju told parliament on Thursday that the efforts to market the laptops had been going on for over two-and-a-half years.
“As of this moment, we’re successful. We’ll start factory operations on Friday and the laptops will hit the market soon,” he said in reply to a question.
The minister said there would be four models of the laptop priced at Tk 10,000 12,000, 21000 and 25,000.
“We’ll market them at the end of this month after the prime minister’s approval,” Raju said.
